Aug 31, 2008 one virus needs your attention. It is WK (Worm.Win32.Agent. wk). This is a Worm which spreads through flash disk and other mobile devices. The virus will forbid Windows Task Manager, latch-up homepage of browser, and hide system file, it brings trouble to computer users.

Description:
This is a Worm which can copy itself down to system directory after startup. And the virus will modify registry to achieve startup with system. At the same time, the virus will modify registry, to forbid Windows Task Manager and Windows Update, setting system files and the hidden files as invisible, latch-up browser default homepage, and try to shut down anti-virus softwares and security tools. When there is a dialogs with title “Rising proactive defence” or “malicious behaviour detection”, the virus will simulate mouse operation and send a feedback “No”, in this way, the virus escape from antivirus check. The virus will download new Trojan and add to mobile device to spread.
Anti-virus experts suggest that computer users take the following measures to protect against this virus:
1. Install Rising Anti-virus, personal firewall, update in time, and at least 3 times per day for updating Rising.
2. Use Rising Vulnerability Check, patch your computer system in a timely manner as many viruses spread by taking advantage of the system exploits or vulnerabilities.
3. Do not browse suspicious websites, and suspicious inserter; turn off or delete unnecessary system services.

6.
