Aug 17, 2007 one virus needs your attention. It is Trojan.PSW.Win32.Wowar.tp. This virus is especially designed for the online game 'World of Warcraft'. It brings loss to the player by stealing the player's account and password and sending these information to the hackers.

The virus drops wodoor0.dll file to the system directory (by default C:\Windows\System32) and modifies the Windows registry to achieve the automatic running with the system startup. It monitors the user in the background. When it finds the user is running 'World of Warcraft', it automatically records the account, password and sends these information to the hackers, bringing loss to the user.

Do not open suspicious mail and suspicious websites; turn off or delete unnecessary system services; patch the system in a timely manner as many viruses spread by taking advantage of the system exploits or vulnerabilities; install anti-virus software for real-time monitoring and protection; Open auto-protect function when accessing to the internet; Install personal firewall to prevent the loss of password; Set up a complicated password for the administrators account.
