Nov 27, 2007 one virus needs attention. It is Trojan.DL.Win32.InfectHtm.a. This virus spreads through USB disks. It can infect various types of files such as HTML. It can also download other viruses from the Internet.

This is a DELPHI Trojan virus. It protects itself by packing with UPX. It will create Sos.exe and RxpMon.exe files at the system directory. The virus will try to shut off antivirus software, change the default home page of IE browser and disable the Windows Registry. It will also delete .gho backup files so that the user cannot restore the system. It can infect all HTML files on the computer and the user may get new viruses when browsing these files.

Anti-virus experts suggest that computer users take the following measures to protect against this virus:

Do not open suspicious mail and suspicious websites; turn off or delete unnecessary system services; patch the system in a timely manner as many viruses spread by taking advantage of the system exploits or vulnerabilities; install anti-virus software for real-time monitoring and protection; Open auto-protect function when accessing to the internet; Install personal firewall to prevent the loss of  password; Set up a complicated password for the administrators account.
