Declaration – False Positive about Rising process RavMonD.exe

With the spreading of Lovgate worm and some security tools technology problems, there is a serious False Positive about Rising main process file “RavMonD.exe”.

 

RISING declared that: Rising process “RavmonD.exe” is main process of Rising Antivirus Software, and the False Positive about Rising is not reliable. Please pay attention to your computer security tools setting rules. Trusting Rising can give you a real-time security protection.

 

When you download and start installation of Rising Antivirus Software, owing to some Security Tools confuse the data it received with valid information, there will be a security alarm that: Rising main process file RavMonD.exe is associated with Lovgate worm.

Rising anti-virus expert said: these tools identify malware and malicious process according to Registry Value and file name, cause a False Positive between Rising main process file “RavMonD.exe” and one of the files which Lovgate worm created “RavMond.exe”. So, in Rising installation process and some security tools checking program, there may have a security alarm, please ignore it.

 

Unfortunately false positives will continue to exist but they can be limited by the skill of the person writing the signatures or check logic.
