No things are perfect, same as the Windows system. Due to its monopoly position at operating system industry, its vulnerabilities will soon be exposed. Viruses and malicious code take advantage of these vulnerabilities and lead to huge losses to users. RISING Personal Firewall possesses a feature for users to repair vulnerabilities existing in the Windows system.
This article is only about how to use the Vulnerability Check function of RISING Personal Firewall to scan and repair Windows vulnerabilities. More RISING Personal Firewall guide please refer to the official help documentation.
Step 1: Click the Vulnerability tab at the main software interface.

Step 2: Click the 'Run Now' to enter the Vulnerability Check interface.
Step 3: Following is the Vulnerability Check interface. Please click 'Scan Now' to start scanning for system vulnerabilities.
Step 4: At this interface you can see all known security vulnerabilities existing in your system. Please click 'View details'.
Step 5: Click 'Repair selected vulnerabilities'. You can see the program starts to download the patches from Microsoft sites. More vulnerabilities exist, the download will be more. Depending on specific situations, it may take 10 minutes or more to finish the download. Please ensure your computer can access to the Internet and you have plenty of hard disk space otherwise the download may fail.
Step 6: After download all the patches, the program starts to install the patches. Some patches may require reboot the computer.
Step 7: Save all your work and reboot your computer. Open the RISING Personal Firewall again and click 'Vulnerability' tab to ensure all the vulnerabilities had been repaired.
Congratulations. You have successfully repair the current system vulnerabilities. Please note that Microsoft generally release patches update on Tuesday of the second week of each month. It is recommended that you perform the vulnerability scan on Tuesday or Wednesday of the second week of each month.
